Sanitas Health Plan has three different levels of cover, and have been specifically designed for Ex-Patriates. Please see below for details of each of the plans.

 

Sanitas Basic Plan

Whilst you are in Spain, SANITAS BASIC PLAN will cover your entire primary Healthcare, specialist care and diagnostic tests, offering a Personalised service through a specific network of doctors and clinics. Emergency medical attention of up to €10,000 per person per claim anywhere in the world. Basic Dental treatment.

This plan may be the correct choice if you already have your Social Security cover, as it will allow you quicker access to consultants, but will not cover you for hospitalisation or operations. The Basic plan is very low in cost. You will be required to pay €12 for each visit and for each diagnostic test you have done. This however is controlled via your Sanitas card, which is registered at each visit to the doctor. A quarterly statement will be issued.

Sanitas Classic Plan

With SANITAS CLASSIC PLAN you will have at your disposal Sanitas' excellent network of Doctors and Clinics for all your out-patient needs as well as in-patient treatment, surgery and hospital accommodation.

You are entitled to seek a second medical opinion which enables you to consult the most renowned international specialists to obtain their opinion on serious illnesses.

This plan is for all health eventualities, so it suits those with no other health cover. The classic plan is by far our most popular cover. As per the Basic plan it is very reasonably priced, so again there are co-payments on this policy. €12 for each visit and for each diagnostic test you have done on an outpatient basis, €24 for hospitalisation but This is per occurrence and not per day, €6 for physiotherapy. This allows Sanitas to keep the premiums low. If you don´t use your insurance you are paying less, but if you use it you pay a little more.

Sanitas Complete Plan

Specially designed for expatriates living in Spain for all or part of the year, this tailored health scheme provides comprehensive cover for Spain and another European country of your choice, giving you the reassurance of seamless health insurance all year round.

The Complete plan gives the same unlimited cover as the classic plan whilst you use our network of Doctors and Hospitals and you pay nothing towards the costs. It then gives you €500,000 to spend outside the Network in Spain and your second European country, for which it becomes a 90% re-imbursement policy.

There is no time limit on the duration spent in either country insured.

Policy will also include €10,000 of Worldwide Travel Insurance via Europe Assistance.

Sanitas Mundi

Our Worldwide policy, offering cover where others may fail. As with all of our policies, whilst you use our Network of Doctors and hospitals you have unlimited cover. You may choose cover up to €1,000,000, to be spent anywhere in the world, for your health coverage. Under this cover you will also, with the pre-agreement of Sanitas, be covered in full under Bupa Hospitals and United Health Care Hospitals in the USA.

This plan is the same as the Classic plan, but also offers up to 15 Counselling sessions in the year. The premium is a little more but the co-payments are less. €1 for a Doctor, €3 for a Specialist and €4 for hospitalisation.

Sanitas Dental Plan

Although all our policies include basic dental coverage, you can extend this to include all dentistry. The group of Dentists will charge you around 50% less than you would normally be charged. This policy can be contracted as a standalone policy.

 

Pregnancy

All our plans offer full maternity cover as long as you do not give birth within 300 days. Do not fear, if you are already pregnant Sanitas will cover you in full when you take out one of our plans with an extra premium payable. The price is around a third of what it would normally cost.

Sanitas Corporate

If you have a company here in Spain, then there are tax breaks available for both the company and the individual insured, contact me for more Details. Should your Company have 25 or more employees (including family) please contact me for a Special Corporate quotation.
